Hospital Admission and Care for Foreigners in Tbilisi
How it works

One call. We take it from there.

  1. 1Call when admission is advised

Contact Geoassistance as soon as a doctor recommends admission, or when an emergency has taken the patient to hospital, and have the policy details ready.

  2. 2Cover confirmed in writing

Geoassistance passes the medical report on and secures a guarantee of payment, so the hospital's invoice goes to the insurer, not the patient.

  3. 3Through the stay to discharge

A Geoassistance coordinator follows the case until discharge, interprets when needed and plans aftercare and the journey onward.

Insurance & cost

How does insurance pay for a hospital stay in Georgia as a foreigner?

For an insured patient, Geoassistance sends the admitting doctor's report to the insurer and requests a guarantee of payment, the written confirmation that the stay is covered. The hospital then invoices the insurer, and the claim is managed by Geoassistance. Treatment outside the policy is confirmed with you in advance and in writing; its cost depends on the department, the length of stay and the procedures.
